snow?

Phoenix went 143 days without rain - ending yesterday (March 11, 2006). This was 42 days longer than the previous record! It rained all day, and there was quite a bit of snow to the east & north of us. We were amazed to see snow on the Superstition Mountains. I understand the last time snow stuck to the Sups was the mid 1980's! The 4 Peaks (last picture) was covered in snow - another rare occurence.

okay, so a few drops fell

A few drops did end up falling. Enough that Nate felt he got a few on his tongue, and there was a smattering on the umbrella. Unfortunately, I don't think enough fell to measure. It needs to be 1/100th of an inch before it counts.

Oh, and Nate is dressed up as the skeleton sheriff, in case you were wondering.

wishful thinking

Phoenix has gone 141 days without rain . . . a few gray clouds had the boys huddling under an umbrella today.

DBG with Unka Matt

My brother and his friend came into town for a visit and met us at the Desert Botanical Gardens after preschool this week. The boys were thrilled to see him and spend time with him!
