more birthday fun

The zoo closes at 4PM, but the Gardens stay open until 8PM. After the zoo closed, Colin asked if we could visit the Gardens, so we did!

The Phoenix Zoo has a new exhibit of stingrays, and we arrived during feeding time! Colin was brave and fed the stingrays some fish and shrimp. Nate preferred to watch. You put your fist in the water, holding the fish. When the stingrays get close, you open your fist and they slurp the fish right from your hand! What a fun birthday activity!

Per the birthday boy's request, we're headed to the zoo today. I wanted to post these pictures, though, because I know my dad checks during the day usually.

Grandma & Grandpa's presents were big hits! I think you can see his excitement?! He loved the Legos, and he loved the note telling about the store!

early birthday celebration

We started celebrating Colin's birthday a couple days early so we could be sure Aunt Bunny and Daddy could celebrate with us at Chuck E Cheese. The boys had a ton of fun, and Colin hit the jackpot a couple times with big ticket wins! Aunt Bunny's presents were also big hits.

Halloween Party

We had our annual Halloween party yesterday and all had a wonderful time. It's fun watching the kids grow from year to year and the babies appearing! Even though I planned ahead and ordered all the goodies and crafts . . . they didn't arrive in time, so I am READY for next year's party already! Thankfully, the kids had a wonderful time in our backyard all the same ;)
