Annual Halloween Party

The boys, eagerly waiting for kids to show up.

Here are all the kids, getting ready to run a relay race.

The coloring sheets were a big hit.

This is Abigail, holding Lydia. Abigail (and her mom, Traci) have come to the party every year we've hosted!

We had our annual Halloween party today. I think this was the 4th year we've hosted and it was a blast as usual. We had more kids than ever -- 20 total, including Lydia. The kids' favorite snack were the honeycrisp apples. We did a relay race, and also "pass the pumpkin" for prizes and everyone took home a treat bag. Mostly, the kids played in the backyard.

Lydia a few days ago

Our neighbor, David, graciously did a photo shoot for us this past weekend. We have many great shots, and I'll post more over the next few days.

This was one of my favorites of Lydia.

pumpkins

The boys decided to paint their pumpkins this year instead of carving them. (and just a gratuitous shot of Lydia - who sprouted her first tooth on Saturday!)

Pumpkin Festival 2007

We attended the Desert Botanical Gardens Pumpkin Festival again this year! The boys, as usual, had great fun choosing a pumpkin from the pumpkin patch. As always, we waited for Colin to find the perfect one!

Another rider . . .

Nate asked Bo to take his training wheels off today, and he mastered 2 wheels about 10 minutes later!

museum trip

Last week, we took a field trip to the 2 museums in downtown Mesa. The boys' friend, Jordyn, was off of school, so she was able to join us! The kids all had a great afternoon ;)

good friends

I was excited when I heard that Ann planned another trip to the southwest this fall! While it was nice to have an extra pair of hands around here, it was even nicer to have a good friend to visit with. We're already looking forward to her next trip!

end of the season?

I think these pictures represent the last swim in the pool this season. The air temperatures have been dropping, and the water in the pool is around 72/74. We're glad Ann was able to visit and had the chance to swim with the boys before the water was too cold!

PE Class

The boys attend a fantastic homeschool P.E. program at a local park. This month, they're starting to play soccer and had a great time doing it.
