Lydia Series

A series of Lydia showing how well she sits up, and how she's working hard towards learning to crawl. She scoots backwards pretty well, and rolls like a champ, but is still working on forward motion. Oh, and one of the pictures has a pretty good shot of her 2 lower teeth. On a related note, Colin lost another tooth a couple nights ago and has 3 more loose. I think it's going to be a gap-toothed Christmas around here!

at the DBG

my parents' visit

My parents (and their good friend, Joyce) were here recently. We had some wonderful times, including a joint birthday party for me, Colin and my mom in our backyard. As always, we look forward to the next time they make it back to Arizona, because their visits are always too short!

Happy 7th Birthday Colin!

It's hard to believe that Colin is 7 years old today! My sweet boy requested ham, mashed potatoes and green beans for dinner tonight - with a vanilla cake and strawberry frosting.

He's having quite the birthday celebration this year -- it started a few days ago when his grandparents were here and we celebrated my, his, and my mom's birthday together. Today we celebrate as a family, and on Saturday he'll celebrate with a few friends.

He's an awesome big brother, a voracious reader, a kind and friendly child. He is intense, emotional and very talkative! He is thrilled about turning 7 -- even though we asked if he would stay 6 for a little while longer (LOL!)

halloween night

We enjoyed "mummy dogs" for dinner.
Our cauldron of candy waiting for the trick or treaters.
Tinkerbell
Captain Hook & Peter Pan

Peter Pan with his haul (he ended up using 2 bags, thus 2 piles.)

Thanks to Unka Matt and my folks, the kids had fantastic costumes this year. Yea! to buycostumes.com for their awesome costumes.

The boys had fun trick or treating in our neighborhood while Lydia and I stayed home to hand out treats.
