final Christmas shots

Bunny with a gift from our parents.

Thrilled with the pirate ship from Aunt Bunny.

Christmas dinner

Wearing our crowns from our traditional Christmas crackers.

Stockings are always explored first.

Colin knows how much his brother loves to dress up, so this police set he gave him was a big hit!

Legos! Legos!

Oh, Wow! A barn. This set from Grandma & Grandpa put all other presents on hold for at least an hour.

Dragons are popular around here!

Dad explains that he's holding a video camera, which he has been wanting for a while. (But we didn't pay that for it! I got an amazing deal and managed to snag it for under $30.)

One of Colin's favorite gifts.

Dinosaurs and trucks? Can it get any better?

We were all blessed to receive so many wonderful gifts. These are just a few favorite shots from Christmas Day.

Christmas Eve

The boys left milk & cookies for Santa this year, and carrots for the reindeer.

Our stockings were laid on the ottoman with care . . .

Christmas Eve Family Photos

As I'm waiting for boys to fall asleep so Santa can arrive, I thought I'd update with a few family shots taken this evening before mass. We went to midnight mass -- well, it started at 10 -- our priest explained it WAS midnight eastern time ;) The boys were asked to take up the gifts, which thrilled them. I assume it was because we were the first family they saw where the Dad was wearing a tie!

12-18-06 Ultrasound

Perhaps she'll be a gymnast?? (Her legs are thrown back over her head in this ultrasound picture . . . does that help you see her?)

Did you notice my use of pronouns? Yep, indications show she's likely to be a girl!

Some close-ups of just a few of the special ornaments on our tree.

This cute little elf was my favorite ornament from my grandparent's tree when I was growing up. He always gets a special spot on our tree now.

Every year, we put a picture ornament of each boy on the tree. I loved this picture of me & Bo, so I decided to put our picture on the tree as well last year.

We like to add ornaments to remind us of trips we've taken. We got this ornament earlier this month at DisneyLand.

Every year we've lived in Arizona, we've attended the Luminaria event at the Desert Botanical Garden. This was the special ornament designed for their 2002 event.

Our tree has gone through a few changes over our years together. Our first Christmas we started from scratch, and I designed a beautiful gold and white themed tree. We had many standard ornaments and a few interesting ones that fit into the theme. After a couple years, we began adding ornaments, and our tree is now full of memories. Each ornament on the tree this year holds a special memory of our lives. While it may not look as elegant as our tree from 1995, it is much more beautiful to me!

Arizona Snowman

This is how we make snowmen in Arizona . . .

Colin made this adorable sock snowman today at his enrichment program. His lips are kinda blue because of a popsicle - he's not having an asthma attack : )

last shots from CA

I think the shots posted over the last week were a pretty good representation of our trip to California this year. Hope you've enjoyed them!

Tanker Museum

On our drive between Mesa and Anaheim, we drive by the George S. Patton Memorial Museum. It has tanks . . . so of course we stop so Nate can indulge his passion for all things camoflauge and tanker-like.
