fun in the pool

We are happy to have our pool -- not just for our family's enjoyment - but also our friends! My good friend Kim V. was visiting from Ohio this past week, and she was able to enjoy our pool along with our friend Traci and her 2 littles. It was definitely a great way to spend the afternoon!

We miss you, Kim!!! (but we know you're happier in Ohio than you were in AZ!)

every day, at the pool

Lydia's way of enjoying the pool. She loves to sleep outdoors!

The boys enjoy sliding into the water. In the month or so that we've been swimming regularly, they have both made huge leaps in their swimming skills.

When we opened the pool this season, Nate wouldn't get in without his life jacket. He now swims confidently from one end to the other (3 feet to 5 feet) and jumps in from anywhere without his life jacket.

6 Weeks!

Hard to believe, but Lydia is 6 weeks old today! She's doing great -- gaining weight & length and becoming more vocal.

As extra protection against the sun, we got swim shirts for the boys. Not sure if it comes out clearly in the picture, but Nate has camo sleeves and new camo trunks.

This is a shot from near the pool fence looking to the back of the side yard with the pool. You can see the hot tub on the left side. The rocks on the ground really "finished" this area.

This is the other side of our yard. We had the flagstone laid last year, but it wasn't mortared down. We had it mortared in recently, and love the finished product. Rock will be down in this area very soon.
