Presents from Matt

On Matt's birthday, the boys received presents from him! He sent these great t-shirts! They were excited to wear them ;) They read "My UNCLE is serving OUR country and we are very proud of him! Operation Iraqi Freedom"

Rebar in the pool!

Late last week, they came and laid the rebar in the pool. Earlier the plumbers had come by and laid the plumbing lines and set up the pump.

Today is my brother's 26th birthday (right? 26? Cuz I'm 38 and Jane is 27 so that makes you 26. If I'm wrong, I know I'll hear from you or Dad.)

I thought a trip down memory lane might be fun -- these shots are from the early 90's :) I tried to find some birthday shots, but couldn't. Although these were summer shots so they're close to your birthdays! Love you :)

Colin's Eagle

Colin has been drawing eagles lately. Here's one he recently drew that was sent off to Unka Matt.

Pool Progress

We woke this morning to the sounds of a backhoe & a dump truck in the backyard. YEP! They dug the hole today for our swimming pool!! Next step will be a plumber - who should come in the next 3-5 days.

mini vacation

We took a mini-vacation this weekend to a local resort. The Pointe South Mountain has a water park complete with a wave pool, water slides, lazy river, baby pool and hot tubs. We all had a wonderful time lazing around in the pools and enjoying the hot weather (and thinking about the days when we can laze around in the pool in our own backyard!)

If asked, the boys choose the lazy river as their favorite part, with the wave pool coming in a close 2nd.

still alive

I realized last night I haven't updated with any pictures of the boys for a while. A quick look at my hard drive showed me that I have NO pictures during July for the last 3 years. LOL! It must be too hot to take pictures :)

To remedy that, here's a couple I just took. Colin enjoys drawing very much, and spends time every day drawing pictures. Nate is . . . well, usually up to something.
