14 months!

Lydia's big thing in the last month is that she has started to walk. She was very tentative about it for a while, but in the last week she finally figured out she could do it on her own. She's wobbly, but she'll be running after the boys in no time!

Amazon

In my sidebar, there is a search box that refers you to Amazon. If you are making an order through Amazon, could you do us a favor and visit through the link on this page?

We earn a small referral fee for all orders placed through the link, and it helps me buy books for the kids. I don't see who ordered what, so don't worry about that!

Thanks ;)

Same family, same day, taken in our backyard.

family

All of my immediate family was in town this week, so we took this great family portrait on my parents' new patio. My mom, brother, sister-in-law (and their puppies) headed back to Wisconsin today, but my dad is staying a while longer.

In case you don't know all of us -- bottom row: Nate, Chris (my mom), Pete (my dad), Lydia, Colin. Top Row: Jane (my sister, aka Bunny), Matt (my brother), Sid (their puppy), Kelly (my sister-in-law), Fiona (their other puppy), my husband and me.

Missing is my sister's cat, Gemini (remember a few months back when a cat showed up and wouldn't leave our backyard? Jane adopted her and she's a wonderful pet!)

earrings

Lydia is always fascinated by Aunt Bunny's earrings. The more they dangle, the better she likes them!

tupperware cupboard

We've always had a Tupperware cupboard that the kids could empty when the mood struck -- but Lydia decided she also needed to climb inside! She's quite the little monkey.

2008 Zoo Camp

The boys wrapped up their week at Camp Zoo today. This was Colin's 3rd year, and Nate's 2nd year attending the animal-filled week at the Phoenix Zoo. Both boys had a blast and are already looking forward to next summer's camp!

They met many different animals up close, rode a camel, rode the zoo train, rode the carousel (yes, our zoo has a carousel!), tie-dyed their t-shirts, did some science experiments, created some art and wore themselves out in the heat!

They're looking forward to a week visiting with my parents and brother & SIL and then they'll be off to another camp the last week of June!

Happy Birthday, Jane!

As long as Jane stays 29, I'll never get older than 40!

Everyone enjoyed the chocolate cake, but I think Lydia may have enjoyed it most!
