Another First Day

The boys started another year at their enrichment program today. Colin is now in 3rd grade and Nate is in 2nd. It's bound to be another interesting year!

The water was 94 degrees today!

Haircuts (and Lydia)

Bo cuts his hair with clippers in the backyard, and has done so for years. I come along and clean up the edges.

We have always taken the boys to barbers . . . but this morning when Bo cut his hair he asked (for the millionth time) if he could buzz the boys' hair. Nate agreed, and has a nice, short haircut now. He was a good sport, and was happy with the results.

Colin . . . . well . . . take a look at Colin's face. He wasn't so sure. He got pushed a bit into it because he needed a haircut and it's summer and I wanted to save the $15. The results are cute, though, and he was smiling again shortly.

And, finally, we didn't cut Lydia's hair -- but I couldn't resist adding these shots I took of her in between hair cut shots.

Reading Goal?? -- Accomplished!!

Nate made a goal to read 30 books.

If he accomplished that goal, we agreed to buy him a Nerf N-Strike Longshot.

That's over 3 feet of Nerf Fun, right there!! And 30 books under his belt! :)

Happy Birthday, Janie!

New Office

One of the 3 new light fixtures in the addition. We have 2 of these track lights, and a new sconce by the doorway.

Shot of the room, painted.

That big opening used to be a 6 foot sliding glass patio door. Bo will finish it, but it will stay open between the office and kitchen.

Painting the exterior. You really can't tell from the outside that it used to be a patio!

Nate's 7th Birthday

Nate celebrated his 7th birthday on May 15! (Do you think he liked the guitar??)

Colin's 1st Communion

Colin celebrated his First Holy Communion on April 26, 2009 at St. George's Church in Apache Junction, AZ. It was a lovely ceremony, and he was so happy that his grandparents and some of his cousins from Las Vegas were able to be part of the fun weekend!
