We've managed to avoid the nebulizer for almost a year - but Colin had a major asthma attack today that had us in the doctor's office. He's going to start taking preventive meds, instead of just rescue meds. Right now, he'll be taking 5 days of steroids & nebulizer treatments every 4 hours. The doctor initially thought he'd have to be hospitalized, but thankfully the treatments seem to be doing the trick.
He's such an amazingly good sport about it all. The doctor kept exclaiming what a wonderful kid he was, and how it was so great that even though he was in serious respiratory distress, he was still charming and polite. He was flirting with the nurse, laughing with the doc, and struggling to breathe all at the same time!
