ultrasound, 3-12-07

This is probably our last shot of the baby until she's born. Everything looked good today -- baby is still a girl; my placenta moved up nicely; she's already head down; she's a little big, but nothing to worry about.

In the pic above, her arm/hand are in front of her face. She wasn't very cooperative in letting us see her - this was the best profile shot the technician could get.

Due date is still set at May 16, but momma intuition tells me we'll be meeting her before then.

Valentine Portrait 2007

My parents were here for a nice long visit last month. While here, I convinced them to have their portrait taken with the boys. I love how it turned out!

I'm also glad, because somehow I didn't take a single picture during their stay. At least we have this wonderful portrait to remember February 2007!

28 weeks, 3 days

Hmmm, I guess this pregnancy is really knocking me out. I promise to add some pictures of the boys this week. For now, here's another belly shot of me . . .

legos?

Someone sent the boys a fantastic Lego set full of people. It's amazing and they're tickled pink.

The box has been sitting at our post office for a while because of a slight address error, and when it finally arrived today -- the packing slip in the box was for someone's package that went to MA.

We want to thank the kind person/s who sent this - so if it was you, could you please email me?

(Also, our thank you notes for other Christmas gifts are sitting on my desk. Sorry for the delay in getting them out, but they ARE going out tomorrow.)

ETA: Mystery solved!! Many thanks to Kennedy & Klaire!!

new pajamas

Thanks, Connie & Poppa! The boys love their new pajamas! (and they fit great!)

Nate took a faceplant off the front of his bike, thankfully only his nose is a little bruised! (mentioned in case you are wondering why he's got a splotch on the side of his nose.)

nature journals

After our visit to the museum, the boys took the opportunity to make a new entry in their nature journals. Colin drew and wrote about the saguaro-like posts on a structure nearby; Nate drew and narrated about a tree that he was sitting under.

AZ Museum for Youth, 1-2-07

We visited the Arizona Museum for Youth today to check out their latest exhibit, "Art With Wheels." There were lots of neat things to see and do, but these pictures capture the boys' favorites.

This exhibit had a bunch of stationary motorcycles set up and a screen projecting a twisty, windy trip through the Arizona landscape (the trip to Tortilla Flats to be exact.) Colin & Nate both loved this exhibit and stayed in here quite a while. They had fun "steering" their way through all the curves in the road.

Another favorite exhibit was the race track. I think this one is pretty self-explanatory?

Both boys were fascinated by the "art cars." This car was decorated with musical instruments. They also showed a video of many different art cars -- from vans covered with pennies to a motorcycle shaped like a cow. The museum had a car parked inside that kids could decorate with a variety of magnets.
